The federal government has allocated $35 million to an On-Farm Emergency Support program.
Purpose of the fund is to improve health safety on farms and in employee living quarters and prevent COVID-19.
Support will be provided for infrastructure improvements to living quarters, work stations, temporary or emergency housing, protective equipment and sanitary stations.
Cost sharing is 50-50 with up to $100,000 per applicant.
