MOOSE JAW — I was born into a family that has been rooted in Saskatchewan since 1909. My great-grandfather immigrated to Moose Jaw, where he raised our family and helped shape the town that gave us our livelihood and values. We now span six generations here.
I'm not an outsider. I'm not a political figure. I'm a scientist, researcher, and someone who cares deeply about health, people, and Saskatchewan.
The media event held on June 20, 2025 — a press conference staged by the ALS Society of Saskatchewan, members of the NDP, and followed by coverage from CBC and others — painted a picture of my work and character that was both misleading and damaging.
Terms like "exploiting the vulnerable," "selling false hope," and "dangerous" were publicly linked to my name without context, review, or even a single phone call to discuss our full operating model.
Let me be clear: I am not a medical doctor. I do not offer cures, treatment, or medical services. I have said this repeatedly, including in all interviews and materials. What we do provide is a self-directed, research-based educational experience for individuals — including those with ALS — who voluntarily choose to participate. Every individual is encouraged to continue working with their physicians, and we communicate directly with doctors at their request.
Our model is simple: Dr. Goodenowe Perpetual Health LLC (based in the U.S.) offers a structured, private, educational program. The Moose Jaw location operates under contract with that U.S. company to deliver supportive services. Saskatchewan residents are never charged.
All clients enter into self-directed research agreements. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is illegal. And yet, I was labelled unethical in a nationally reported political attack.
ALS is a devastating condition. People and families facing it deserve real support, dignity, and options. Some of the people who have come through our program report improvements in mobility, speech, or quality of life. We make no claims. We simply document what they share, offer them nutrition, structure, and support, and give them the dignity to choose for themselves. These are basic human rights generally recognized as common sense.
To the Ministry of Health, the ALS Society, and any member of the public with genuine concern: my door is open. I invite you to visit. Ask questions. Review our materials. Sit down with us and listen to the real stories. We operate legally, ethically, and transparently — and we welcome anyone who wants to understand what we actually do.
We can do better than politicized fear. We can lead the country by demonstrating that innovation and integrity can coexist—and already do.
I'm ready to help demonstrate that. I always have been.
Sincerely, Dr. Dayan Goodenowe
