John Paul Ziefflie passed away peacefully on November 28, 2021. Dad is predeceased by his wife Jackie and son-in-law Jim Dzedzora. Survived by his sons Terry (Roxanne) with grandchild Melanie (Matt and great grandson Ronin) and Gene (Roxanne) with grandchildren Sharmain and Jonathan; daughters Vivian, Sandy (Scot) with grandsons Casey and Josh (Jasmine and great granddaughter Norah), Dawn (Jerry) and granddaughter Chloe, and Lindee (Glenda). John was raised on the family farm outside of Davidson, Saskatchewan. He married Jackie in 1954 and raised their family in Bengough, Regina and Moose Jaw. He proudly called Moose Jaw his home for the last 49 years. He worked for the Department of Highways as a heavy duty mechanic, and that type of work translated into someone who loved to make specialized bird houses and garden planters. He loved watching sports, especially curling and the Blue Jays. He loved his Pomeranian, Teddy, who ended up staying in the family home with a new family after Dad moved into senior’s housing in 2015. The family wishes to thank the staff Point West Living and West Park Crossing for their excellent care of Dad in his later years. Per Dad’s wishes there will not be a service. In living memory of John, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.jonesparkview.com (Obituaries).
