Bruce Ronald Weighill, eldest son of Francis “Tiny” Churchill Weighill and Monica Beryl (Morrison, nee Edwards) passed away in the early hours of November 6, 2023. Bruce was born on March 22, 1943 in Poole, England. Bruce and his mother joined Tiny on the family farm in Davidson in 1946.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife Della; daughters Lorna (Russ), Karen (Mac), and Leah (Don); grandchildren Heather, Michael, Dougall, Lisa, Daniel, Kim, Robert, Rion, Owen, and Athena; great-grandchildren Savannah and Marcus; along with his siblings Brett, Kevin, and Clive.

Bruce will be remembered for his kindness, playful jokes, and love of animals. His biggest love of all was for his family. He was a man of many talents. Bruce enjoyed working with his hands such as creating furniture and toys for those he loved dearly. He could fix anything electronic or mechanical. He was dedicated to making the world a better place, both through his tireless work as a Union representative on bargaining committees, and as a devoted campaigner for the NDP. Retirement didn’t slow him down, he continued to serve as President of the FSNA, President of the Timothy Eaton Centre, and most recently as President of the Resident’s Association at West-park Crossing, where he resided. 

A celebration of life will be held 3:30pm November 10, 2023, at the Timothy Eaton Centre in Moose Jaw with Reverend Doug Shepherd.

In honour of Bruce's giving spirit, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be may be made to a Charity that is close to your Heart.
