Alvin George Virtue
Alvin George Virtue passed away peacefully Sunday, July 5, 2020 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, at the age of 77. He was born December 22, 1942 in Tuxford, Saskatchewan, to parents George and Lily Virtue. Alvin was a Grain Buyer for many years, after that he moved to Hay River, North West Territories to work with his brother in law Don Tregidgo at North Land Plumbing and Heating. When he returned to Moose Jaw he worked in Security at XL Beef. He was a long time member of the Legion and Elks Club in Moose Jaw. Alvin is predeceased by his parents George and Lily Virtue; his granddaughter Vanessa Whitby, and his great grandson Emerson Whitby. He is survived by his daughters Lisa Virtue (Chris Jensen), Alison Virtue (Dan Kasperski), and Dana Virtue, his ex-wife Janice Grand, his granddaughter Chelsea Whitby, his grandson Logan Whitby, his siblings Evelyn Tregidgo, Ron (Betty) Virtue, and Ruth (Cliff) Lough, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Private Family Service will take place at a later date at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to a charity of choice. In living memory of Alvin, a memorial planting will be made by Jones - Parkview Funeral Services.
