THORVALDSON
Dorothy Pearl Thorvaldson, aged 92 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021. Dorothy was born at Churchbridge, SK on March 10th, 1929. She married Travis Thorvaldson on June 29th, 1948 and together they raised 7 children. Dorothy resided in Bredenbury, SK until moving to Moose Jaw, where she has resided until her passing. She loved gardening, bird watching, sports – especially curling, and sewing, as well her pet dog Maggie. Most of all, Dorothy loved her family.
She was predeceased by her parents and siblings; husband, Travis; grandsons, Rodney and Jason; great-grandson, Tyler; and great-great-granddaughter, Olivia. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children: Sandra (Jim), Chris, Linda (Terry), Sharon (Frank), Dianne, Cindy (Greg), and Elaine (Brent); 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Celebrant Dave Foley will officiate and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Covid-19 precautions will be in place and those attending are reminded to please wear a mask.
