George Allan Thomas
1944-2020
It is with great sadness that the family of George Thomas announce his passing Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the age of 75 years, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on December 8, 1944. George lived in various places all over Saskatchewan, his family finally settled in Moose Jaw in 1983. He worked on the oil rigs, for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, he was a semi driver, he worked at Zion United Church and for Moose Jaw Housing over the years. He enjoyed reading, sports, camping, family gatherings, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. George was a very loving, caring and understanding man. He is predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Verna Thomas; his father in law, Norman Cappelle. George is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Joyce Thomas; his children, Twila Jachacz, and Jody (Angie) Thomas; his grandchildren, Delaney (Devon) Chaykowski, Brandi Thomas, Rachel Thomas, Colton Munshaw, and Jordan Munshaw; his great granddaughter, Emily Chaykowski; his brother, Earl (Faye) Thomas; his mother in law, Irma Cappelle; his sister in law, Gloria (Brent) Brown; and his brothers in law, Rodney (Cindy) Cappelle, and Eugene (Paula) Cappelle, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Private Interment will take place, and a Memorial Tea will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation. In living memory of George, a memorial planting will be made by Jones - Parkview Funeral Services.
