VIOLA FAITH JANE THIESSEN (née: Braun)
Viola Faith Jane Thiessen aged 74 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away Monday, July 7th, 2025 in Moose Jaw, after a battle with cancer. Viola was born in Waldheim, SK on December 31st, 1950.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Greta (née: Giesbrecht) Braun; parents-in-law, Claus and Esther Thiessen; brothers-in-law: Marvin Gray, Jake Friesen, Stan Thiessen, and Clarence Janzen; and sister-in-law, Isabel Braun. Viola is survived by her husband, Ken Thiessen; children: Sara (Adam) Ens, Jon (Allison) Thiessen, and James (Melissa) Thiessen; grandchildren: Emily, Eli and Jaron Ens, Liviya and Simon Thiessen, Olive, James Jr. and Curtis Thiessen; siblings: Cliff Braun, MaryAnne Janzen, and June (Gordon) Wiebe; and sisters-in-law: Doreen Gray, Joyce Friesen, and Vi Thiessen.
Vi was a woman who loved God and made her life about serving Jesus, her faith was very important to her. She loved to work with her hands, working in the garden and creating all sorts of crafts. Vi loved sports, both playing and later cheering on her children and grandchildren. She was a great cook and was especially known for her turkey dinners and cinnamon buns. She made everything around her better. Most of all, she loved her family and her friends and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
