On Saturday, March 14th, 2020, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s, our beloved mother and grandmother, Faye Adrianne Strom was called home at the age of 76 years. Faye was born on October 5th, 1943 in Waldron, SK. She was a beautiful soul, inside and out. In fact, many likened her beauty to that of a youthful Elizabeth Taylor. She took great pride in her family, especially her children and grandchildren. There was nothing that she wouldn’t do for them. Faye endured quite a bit in this lifetime; but, she was a fighter through and through and her resiliency was a quality to look up to. If you were ever privy to be at a Coulee garage party, at the cabin or at Sheila’s in Moose Jaw, you would know that Faye had a great love for music and dancing. She was the life of the party and people were drawn to her positive energy. She always made sure that you were ok and looked after, always offering to make you a snack or giving you a shoulder to cry on. Faye was empathetic and a great listener. She leaves us all with an immense void which can only be filled by the notion that she is at peace now. Faye leaves us to journey home to her husband, Lorne Sr. and her son, Lorne Jr.; as well as her father, Jack and mother, Freda Ashley; and siblings: Vernon, Brian and Sharon in heaven. Faye is survived by her son, Robert (Kevin); daughters, Sheila (Randy) and Charisse (Lanny); grandchildren: Christopher, Marie, Michael, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Raven and Violet; as well as her siblings: Rodney, Gwen, Jean, Blair and John. The family would like to acknowledge her daughter Sheila, who tirelessly and fearlessly looked after Faye in the last years of her life. In keeping with Faye’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Faye’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan Inc, 2550 12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
