DOREEN LILIAN STEVENSON
Doreen Stevenson of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away with family by her side on February 3, 2022 at the age of 82. Mom was born at Outlook, Saskatchewan in 1939, moved to Moose Jaw with her parents, and lived in Moose Jaw all but 3 years which she lived in Regina. Predeceased by her husband, Brian Stevenson; both her parents Vivian Davidson and Allister Smart; her brother Maurice Smart in 1945. She is survived by her brother Ben (Joanne) Smart of Regina; son Rick (Sherri) Kaytor; daughter Brenda (Don) Hutchinson; son Brian (Norma) Kaytor; daughter Deb Kaytor all of Moose Jaw; stepdaughter Carrie Stevenson (Mark) of Prince George, BS; grandchildren Jennifer (Scott) Adams of Calgary AB, James Kaytor, Derek (Kehlsie) Kaytor, Greg (Brenna) Kaytor of Moose Jaw, Bryan Hutchinson of Calgary AB,Randy (Amanda) Hutchinson of AB, Nicole Kaytor, Jeff Kaytor of Moose Jaw and Hailey Stevenson of Prince George BC; also 8 great grandchildren; a great friend Barb Wotherspoon of Swift Current and her friends at the bowling alley. Mom worked at the Union Hospital for 43 years in the Dietary Department. Mom was strong in the Union S.E.I.U. #299 for 18 years which she was union President upon her retiring in 2004. Mom enjoyed her family and the many meals we all had at Don and Brenda’s. She also enjoyed playing bingo with her daughters and trip to Vegas with her friend Barb. Mom loved her sports especially her Riders and curling. A special thank you to the Chez Nous Nursing Home, Emergency Ward and Surgery floor at the Dr. F. H. Wigmore Regional Hospital and Palliative Care at Pioneer Lodge (Memory Lane,) again thank you for all the care you gave our mom. In keeping with Mom’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be directed to the Dr. F. H. Wigmore Hospital. In living memory of Doreen, a memorial planting will be made by W.J.
