Cathy Sharp
(October 28, 1953 - May 30, 2022)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Cathy Sharp (Lawrence) announce her peaceful passing on May 30, 2022 at the age of 68 years.  Her battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. She kept people rolling in laughter right to the end because she could find humour in the most mundane and difficult life circumstances.

Cathy was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was the type of person who was always there to lend a hand, support you, give you advice and make you laugh. She loved her family more than anything and worked hard to keep everyone connected.  Cathy had a wacky sense of humour, the biggest heart and spoke words of honesty. In 1981 she married the love of her life, Bud, and they spent over 40 beautiful years together. They were best friends and did everything side by side. After Bud’s passing in 2020 Cathy struggled with a broken heart.  Her friends and family can find comfort knowing that they are now reunited.

Cathy is survived by her daughters: Anissa, Danielle, Miranda (Mathew) and Victoria (Iden), grandchildren; Josh, Tyler, Stephanie (Derek), Rylee (Brenden), Brittany (Nathan), Ciara, Ashlyn, Eli; great grandchildren; Sawyer, Keagan, Kasey, Jaxx, Addyson, Macy, Madison as well as numerous other family members.

The family would like to thank the overwhelming amount of support from their extended family, Ann Lawrence, Don Lawrence, Dylan (Tara) Lawrence (Odin & August) and close friends. They would also like to thank the special care Cathy received from Dr. Rininsland, the countless nurses, doctors and staff who provided outstanding care for Cathy during her last few weeks at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital.

Cathy’s cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed.

A Celebration of Cathy’s life will take place at 5:00pm on Saturday, June 18 at the Kiwanis Outdoor Pavilion. Della Ferguson will officiate followed by a potluck BBQ and bonfire. A Facebook event for Cathy’s day will provide more details. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Journey to Hope.
