JEAN MARCELLA SCHNITZLER (Daniels) née: Duzan

Jean passed away as a result of a stroke on Monday, November 11th, 2019 after a very hard-fought and courageous battle.  Jean was born to Earl and Katherine Duzan on July 22nd, 1933 in Ormiston, SK.  She was predeceased by her parents; infant daughter, Marie Daniels; husband, William Daniels; brother, Robert Duzan; sisters, Dorothy Brand and Elaine Ludwar; close friend and sister-in-law, Pearl Daniels; several sisters-in-law and brothers- in-law; and son-in-law, Norman Mitchell.  Jean will live forever in the hearts of her husband, William “Bill” Schnitzler; her six children: Doug (Betty) of Saskatoon, SK, Sharon (Yves) Bourdeau of Moose Jaw, SK, Garry (Cathy) of Surrey, BC, Allan (Sharon) of Saskatoon, SK, Bonny Mitchell of Moose Jaw, SK, and Tim (Senka) of Florence, Italy; four step-children: Netta (Russ) Farrow, Steve Schnitzler, Jason Schnitzler, and Camille (Cliff) Wagner and six grandchildren; seventeen grandchildren: Marie, Nicole, Andre, Jonathon, Jocelyn, Tyson, Mattheu, Stacey, Devin, Kristen, Braden, Sean, Katherine, Mary, Peter, Annajulia, and Natale; seventeen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family and friends.  Jean loved spending time with her family and was always ready for a party.  She loved reading, dancing and time outdoors.  She was a wonderful asset to the Palliative Care team and spent many volunteer hours caring for the sick, dying and grieving.  In her retirement she spent many hours writing and had many stories chosen to be published in the paper.  Her most rewarding hours were spent writing her family history and putting her memories into book form.  Her family was very proud of her many accomplishments.  Jean was a woman of great faith in God and in Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior.  Jean, Mom, Grandma, and Mama Jean, we are assured by the gospel that you are with our Lord.  We can be assured that we can call on your prayers for assistance as we eagerly await the day that we will meet again.  What rejoicing there will be in Heaven on that glorious day.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 14th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Church of Our Lady, 566 Vaughan St, Moose Jaw, SK.  Father Leonardo Tamayo will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Church of Our Lady.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550 www.moosejawfuneralhome.com
