It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Martha Rainville on September 13, 2023, in Moose Jaw, SK.
She was born December 7, 1935, in Ceylon, SK. Martha married the love of her life, Lionel Rainville, October 19, 1955.
She is survived by her husband, Lionel; daughter Juliette Leask (Jack), Fort McMurray, AB and grandchildren Janelle and Iain Leask. Daughter Susan Easton, Regina, SK and grandson Josh Easton. Sons Gerald Rainville, Regina, SK and Eugene Rainville, Vancouver, BC. She is also survived by three sisters Mary De Roose, Radville, SK, Emma Gillies, Saskatoon, SK, and Camilla Dionne, Campbell River, BC.
Martha worked as a nurse’s aide until she and Lionel moved their family to Coronach, SK to run a café. They were in Coronach for 21 years before retiring to Moose Jaw, SK. They enjoyed many years of being snowbirds and camping with the Good Sams Club.
Martha’s passion besides her family was gardening and it was not unusual for the garbage man to lean over the fence to admire her garden and lovely flowers.
A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday September 17, 2023, at 7:00 PM at the Church of Our Lady, 566 Vaughan St, Moose Jaw, SK. A Funeral Service will be held Monday September 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Church of Our Lady. Father Gregorie will officiate. A family interment will be held at a later date.
