Norman Quon

On November 16th, 2021, Norm was taken home to be with his Lord at the age of 60.

He was predeceased by his mother Sheran (Dear) Quon. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sheila, son Ethan, father Barry Quon, sister Judy (Jim Yelle), Corinne (Tim Abellera), his brother Henry (Lenis), their families and many friends.

Norm grew up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. After graduating from Peacock Technical High School, he went on to attend and graduate from Saskatchewan Technical Institute. After graduation he moved to Edmonton, Alberta to work for Atco Electric. He worked there right up to his retirement in 2016.

Norm was very passionate about everything he did. His love and patience were evident to everyone who knew him. He loved hockey and played for many years. He was also very proud of his time volunteering for Junior Achievement and promoted the program any chance he had.

Norm also touched many children's lives by being involved in the Big Brothers program, coaching sports like soccer and badminton, and always having an open-door policy. He often entertained his son Ethan's friends, always having a warm smile and a willingness to feed everyone by cooking a meal for them in his Instant Pot.

Norm’s Celebration of Life was held at Crosspoint Church in Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday, the 25th of November.  For those who were unable to attend or unable to watch online that day, it can still be viewed online: https://youtu.be/AsMigdFz2-E
