Loretta Puddell
On Dec 14, 2021, Loretta passed away.
This sudden event leaves her family to mourn her loss. Her children: Barb (Rod), Allan (Cory), Betty (Peter), David (Terri) and Brenda. Her grandchildren and great grand children. Her brothers: Ralph (Dianna), and Vern (Sharon). Her sister-in-law: Josie. Her nieces and great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bob, her parents Fritz and Erna and her brother, Harold.
Loretta was born on her parent’s homestead during a howling blizzard on Thanksgiving Day in 1932. This totally explains her hatred of the cold. After completing her high school education in Assiniboia, Loretta attended Normal School in Moose Jaw obtaining her teaching certificate. She taught at the South Lake School. It was during this time she met Bob – the man she would marry, with whom she would have a large family, build a thriving farm, and grow old. After their retirement – Mom was able to indulge in two things she loved – flowers and baseball. All summer long you could find her either outside enjoying her garden or inside watching and critiquing the ball games.
The photo we share with you is Mom at Sloan Park attending a Cubs Spring Training game.
A private interment will occur in the spring when it is warm, and flowers are beginning to bloom.
Our family would like to thank the truly exceptional people of the Palliative Care Ward at the Pasqua Hospital for their professional and compassionate care of our mom.
In living memory of Loretta, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.jonesparkview.com (Obituaries). Chrystine Dacey- Funeral Director Intern
