It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

We said goodbye to Linda Valerie Mulligan on April 18th, 2022. She is the eldest daughter of Cecil and Ruth Kerr (97 yrs young). She is predeceased by her father Cecil, her daughter Deborah Lynn and her 1st husband Roy Mulligan. Her mother Ruth,  resides in Chateau Providence in St. Brieux.

Linda was born on July 16th, 1948, she was home schooled for 2 years before attending Willowdale Country School. She attended her high school years in Melfort where she excelled in Badminton. Linda was very good with numbers and chose to pursue another year of business and accounting after grade 12. She took classes in Sociology, psychology, practical child psychology and social work. Her primary choice of career was bookkeeping.

She married Roy Mulligan in 1967. They lived in Saskatoon and moved to Melfort where they had their first child Deborah Lynn (Doug) Smith in 1969. They moved to Moose Jaw in the fall of 1972 and soon adopted Joan Marie (Shane) Falasca in 1975. In 1977 a third daughter was born, Lisa Carmen (Benjamin Green).

Linda has 6 grandchildren. Montana, Kallan, Jerico, Shea, Lexi and Sawyer. One great grandson, Benito and a second great grandson on the way and her sisters Marilyn (Terry) Hancock, Wendy (Gary) Wolitski, Cindy (Greg) Lekness, Trena (Lionel) Badinski and numerous nieces and nephews.

The last several years Linda has spent with her best friend Brent Spicer.

As a young girl she loved to ride horses and swim at Eagle lake. She spent numerous summers there with her cousins and neighbors. She loved animals and had many pets from a funny cat named Diddleday, to her last 11 year old Pomeranian, Spicker, her baby boy! She loved to garden and cook and was very proud of her beautifully groomed back yard and flowers. She loved to camp and did a lot of travelling in the US.

Linda beat colon cancer in 2008 and Melanoma in 2014. Unfortunately, the cancer returned and she was diagnosed with metastatic Melanoma.

Linda was a fun loving, caring, kind and generous soul. Her smile truly captivated everyone around her. Her happiest times were when she was surrounded by family and friends. She bravely chose to end her fight with cancer with the assistance of MAID with her family by her side. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Always our Daughter/Sister/Mother/Nana. FOREVER our friend.

In lieu of flowers donations may be forwarded to the MAID program. In living memory of Linda, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries). Blake Seebach, Funeral Director
