CAROLLE MOORE (née: Sunde)

April 18th, 1938 – June 25th, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolle Aldene Moore after a short, courageous battle with cancer. With her family by her side, Carolle passed away on Thursday, June 25th, 2020 at the age of 82 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ray in 2010; parents, Clarence and Alma Sunde; and 9 siblings. Carolle will be lovingly remembered by her children: Greg (Lisa), Kevin (Shaunna), Michelle; and Cory (Raelynne); grandchildren: Brady, Cody, Lyndon, Meagan, Marissa, Amy and Connor; 7 sisters, 2 brothers, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Born in Assiniboia, SK, Carolle eventually settled in Moose Jaw after living in Lisieux and Central Butte, SK. Upon completion of High School, Carolle attended Lab Tech School in Moose Jaw, graduating in 1958. She married the love of her life, Ray, in 1959. Retiring in 1993, Carolle spent her retirement years cherishing her role as a mother and grandmother.

Carolle and Ray loved to travel, making their first winter holiday to Maui, Hawaii in 1980. They spent many years snow birding in Lake Havasu, Arizona as well.
After Ray’s passing, Carolle loved to spend her time meeting friends at the Casino. She was a very social, friendly, compassionate lady who loved meeting new people, making new friends and going for lunch with “The Girls.”

Carolle loved music and went to see Daniel O’Donnell and Rory Allan many times. She also got to see her “Casino Buddy” Burton Cummings at the Mae Wilson Theatre. Carolle loved to laugh and enjoyed many Jeff Dunham Shows. She loved the puppets and his sense of humour. She was a big time animal lover and was very happy with a dog or cat on her lap or by her side.

Even knowing that her time was coming to an end, Carolle never complained. She was always courteous, polite and friendly to her care givers right down to her last day.  She was more concerned about her children than she was about herself. She was tired and just wanted to go see Dad. We all gave her our blessing and she has been reunited with Ray.

The family would like to extend our thanks to the staff at Points West Living and the nursing staff at Pioneers Lodge. Their friendship and compassion for Mom was very much appreciated by our family. As well to Dr. V. Rininsland for going above and beyond the call of duty for Mom’s health care and making sure that she was comfortable in her final days. Also thanks to Pastor Marvin Seaborg for visiting Mom at Pioneer Lodge and giving her comforting words and his blessings.

Due to the current health situation, a Private Family Graveside Service will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Carolle’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7 or the Moose Jaw Food Bank, 305 Fairford St W, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1V8. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. James Murdock, Funeral Director 306-693-4550 www.moosejawfuneralhome.com
