Marian May McDougall aged 97 years of age passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Chateau St. Michael’s which had been her home for the past eight and a half years.

Marian was born on the family farm in the Pasqua District on March 25th, 1924.  She worked hard with help from her older sister Jean and her younger brother Bob to enable their mom to keep the farm operational after the sudden death of their father when she was in her twenties.

After completing public school in Pasqua’s one-room schoolhouse (grades 1-9) she would ride the train, known as the skunk into high school in Moose Jaw!

She worked at various jobs in Moose Jaw and the last one that she really enjoyed was at the Admitting Desk at the Union Hospital.  She quit this job to stay home to look after Mother. Marian along with her sister Jean continued to dedicate their lives to looking after others.  Marian always had time to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbours!  She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit.

Predeceased by her father and mother, John and Ellen, sister Jean and brother Bob.  She will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Louise, nephews: Ken (Angela) and their family Sarah (Will) & Rylee, Derek (Kyla) & Ivy; and Craig (Peroline) and their family Madeleine, Katherine, and Nathan, as well as by many cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held later in the spring.
