Rose Marie Lavallee
Rose passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2020, at the age of 76. She was born December 15, 1943 in Regina, Saskatchewan, to Joseph and Josephine Elizabeth (Schmidt) Rothe. Rose was a homemaker to 5 children. She began with the housekeeping department at The Moose Jaw Union Hospital on May 29, 1979 and retired on April 30, 2007. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles - Moose Jaw, from 1999 until 2015. She loved spending time at the lake with Fred, crocheting blankets and gardening. Rose was a prime example of ‘the strong silent type.’ She will be forever remembered for her warm heart, the kindness she showed so often to everyone around her. She is an inspiration to be kind to everyone you meet, to never judge until you have walked a mile in their shoes. She is now in a better place, with her Creator as well as her soul mate. Another angel walks among us. Predeceased by her husband, Alfred in 2009; her parents, Joseph in 2011, and Josephine in 1960; and her stepmother, Anne in 2000. Rose is survived by her children, Richard, Vernon, Joseph, Annette (Garth) and Christopher (Tracy); her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Margaret (Clarence) Gelowitz; and her brother, Alfred Rothe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Interment at Rosedale Cemetery at a later date, no Funeral Services will take place at this time. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be welcomed. In living memory of Rose, a memorial planting will be made by Jones - Parkview Funeral Services.
