It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Shirley Anne Lamb of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on June 7, 2022. Born November 22, 1947, to Forrest and Gertrude Gilchrist. Shirley grew up in Rouleau, SK, attending school and completing her education. On April 8, 1967, Shirley married Dennis J Lamb. They began their lives together in Moose Jaw, SK and had four wonderful children, and later had 13 grandchildren and 3 great grand children. Shirley loved working with people and had various jobs in retail throughout her life. She enjoyed conversation and valued time with her family, friends, and animals.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents (Forrest in 1988 and Gertrude in 2008). She leaves to mourn her husband Dennis of 55 years. Their children Shelley (Simon), David (Christina), Bill, Wayne (Bev). Grandchildren Christopher (Jeremiah), Amber Skoretz (Chason), Blake (Alice), Matthew, Whitney (Lee), Victoria, Hailey (Lucas), Dylan (Chantelle), Cassie, Connor (Bryn), Brady, Addison, and Lawson. Great Grandchildren Aubree, Kamryn, and Kohen. Siblings Marjorie Wanner (Rick), Andrew Gilchrist (Diane), Cathie Loden (Doug), Ed Gilchrist (Sandy), Laurie Gilchrist, Jim Gilchrist (Theresa). Brothers in law Bob Lamb (Elizabeth), Dick Lamb (Pat). Other important people in her life Brent Jones, Jennifer Lamb, and Jessie Cournyer. In addition, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2022, at 1pm. Rosedale Cemetery, Moose Jaw. Please meet at the Caribou entrance gate. Lunch to follow at Moose Jaw Union Centre. All are welcome. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Shirley’s name may be made to a humane society of choice or to STARS ambulance service.
