KOPP

After a long hard fought battle with cancer, Leah Vivian Kopp (née: Savage) passed away peacefully, with her husband by her side, on Sunday, April 5th, 2020 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.  She was predeceased by her father, Ken Savage who passed in 1982.  Leah is survived by her husband, Gerard Kopp; son, Dakota Kopp (Raven); mother, Vivian Savage; sisters, Jodi Murray (John) and Terrie Wagner (Rob); brothers, Scott Savage and Michael Savage (June); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Leah was born on June 25th, 1964 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to Ken and Vivian Savage.  She attended St. Agnes School and Vanier Collegiate before pursuing a post-secondary education at SIAST.  Leah married her soul mate Gerard on May 17th, 1986.  As a young couple, they briefly lived in Swift Current, SK before settling in Moose Jaw where they raised their family.  Leah and Gerard enjoyed camping all over Canada and traveling to the US and Mexico, especially to their favorite spot in Puerto Vallarta.  Leah was part of the glue that kept her family together, always planning BBQ's and parties to get everyone involved.  She was a social butterfly who would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, about anything.  Leah enjoyed baking treats for family gatherings and was always happy to provide her signature puffed wheat squares or cherry delight.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Dr. F.H Wigmore Regional Hospital and Pioneer Lodge Moose Jaw for the love, care and compassion they offered Leah and all of us while she was there.  A Celebration of Leah's life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Leah's name may be made through the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre of Regina, Saskatchewan using the link provided: https://cancerfoundationsask.ca/donate/in-memory-gift/. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550 www.moosejawfuneralhome.com
