Kayla Ann Shirley McCurdy Myers
October 13 1987- November 8 2019
Kayla was diagnosed with an aggressive rare form of lung cancer on September 26th 2019. 6 short weeks later, on November 6th, it was discovered the cancer had spread to her brain. Sadly on November 8th at 11:45 am, with her husband Robert of 9 1/2 years by her side, God suddenly decided to take Kayla.
Kayla leaves to mourn her most treasured family, husband, Robert J McCurdy; 4 amazing children: Joey, Logan, Vadah and Paige; Kayla's parents, Keith and Doris Myers; one brother, Christopher Myers; three sisters, Margaret (Michael) Wipf, Amanda (Terry) Riemer, Ashley (Deric) Peters and 11 nieces and nephews.
Mother in law, Cheryl (George) Hetherington; grandparents Larry (Kathy) O'Brien; six brother in laws: Chris McCurdy, Justin (Crystal) McCurdy, Chris (Joelle) Reaume, Justin Dibartilo, Calvin Dibartilo, Chaun McCurdy; one sister in law, Shannel Breton and six nieces and nephews.
Throughout Kayla's 8 year battle with Scleroderma and then cancer there was a constant for Kayla, her friend and doctor, Dr. Susan Bell of Caronport Sk. we, as a family so thank Dr. Bell for her professionalism and friendship to Kayla.
A Funeral Service for Kayla will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Goodnough will officiate. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Kayla’s name may be made to the Go Fund Me Page, www.gofundme.com/f/help-give-kayla-a-fighting-chance
