Johnson, Donald Andrew

Donald Andrew (Andy) Norman Johnson

Andy Johnson passed away peacefully on September 4, 2020.  Andy was born in Regina on February 23, 1975.  He lived in Moose Jaw for most of his life receiving his education at Ross School, King George School and Central Collegiate.  He worked at various locations in Moose Jaw but will be best remembered for his time working at Hopkins Dining Parlour. In 2016 Andy battled numerous health problems but fought hard to recover and was able to spend 4 more years with his family and friends.  If you asked Andy, the best part of his life were his boys, Brayden and Jack.  He was extremely proud of them and their accomplishments, and he considered them his best friends.  He was a wonderful big brother to Ryan and Heidi. If Ryan needed extra help, Andy was the first to be there and had the patience to teach him how to do it. He had a very close relationship with Heidi and even though there were miles between them, they were always in contact.  Andy loved watching all sports and enjoyed golfing and going for long walks. Andy was predeceased by his grandparents, Walter and Phylis Johnson of Moose Jaw and Anne Grigg of Moose Jaw, as well as aunts and uncles, Jaye (Donn) Wagar; Jean (Howard) Macnaughton and Ken Guze. Andy will be missed and forever remembered with love by his sons, Brayden and Jack Johnson; his father Norm (Bev) Johnson; his mom Darilyn Grigg; his grandfather Rev. Earl Grigg; brother Ryan Johnson and sister Heidi Johnson; and Brayden and Jack’s mom Sharla.  He also leaves his uncles and aunts; Doug Johnson of Moose Jaw; Glen Grigg of North Vancouver; Mary Ellen Willis of Moose Jaw; Bonna Johnson of Moose Jaw and Dorothy Guze of Biggar as well as many great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins, and good friends. Due to the COVID pandemic restrictions, a Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Cemetery in Moose Jaw.  Reverend Jim Tenford will be officiating. A Celebration of his life will be held at a future date. In living memory of Andy, a memorial planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com or www.parkviewfuneralchapel.ca  (Obituaries).
