Muriel Dorothy Georgina Jensen (née: Hosie) passed away on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021 in Moose Jaw, SK. Muriel was born on February 16th, 1932 in Moose Jaw, SK. She graduated from the former Moose Jaw Technical High School and worked at both the Robin Hood Flour Mill and SaskTel. Muriel was a lifetime member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, photography, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and was an avid reader. Muriel loved to travel throughout her entire life, starting with a trip to Great Britain in 1959, followed by family camping trips and cruises in her retirement years with her husband Aage.

She was predeceased by her father, George Hosie in 1955; mother, Lillian Hosie (née: Wilson) in 1994; brother, Ronald (in infancy) in 1930; and sister, Gladys (Jack) Uncles in 2015. Muriel is survived by her husband of 59 years, Aage, who never left her side; son, Gavin (Mary); granddaughters, Diana and Shanna; son, Colin (Barb); as well as numerous other relatives. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to all the staff at Providence Place – words cannot express how grateful we are for the care Muriel received over the years from all of you.

A Private Family Service will be held to honour Muriel. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Muriel’s name may be made to the Providence Place Foundation Inc, 100 2nd Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1B8 or to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
