Elsie was born the youngest of four sisters. She married Garth Harrison in 1952 and they lived together in the farmhouse she grew up in. Elsie was known for her crocheting and her keen memory of dates and years. She even wrote a book of her history for her family to pass on her knowledge. When Garth died in 1998, Elsie moved to Moose Jaw, where she was proud to sell her crocheted items, and took up the hobby of walking to keep herself moving. Elsie faithfully attended the Free Methodist Church in Eyebrow and Moose Jaw where she was well known and loved.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Bentley in Moose Jaw, and both Iver Main Place and Regency Manor in Central Butte for all the care Elise received through the final years of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Iver Main Place or Regency Manor. In living memory of Elsie, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd.
