HARRISON

Brian Elwin Harrison, aged 70 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19th, 2021 at the Regina General Hospital. Brian was born on September 13th, 1950 in Radville, SK.

He was predeceased by his parents, Elwin and Agnes Harrison; and brother, George Harrison. Brian is remembered with love by his wife of 48 years, Jeanette; daughters, Tracy (Hannah) of Lloydminster, AB and Tania (Hayley) of Regina, SK; sisters, Marlene (Darald) Marin of Radville, SK and Karen (Jake) Loose of Vernon, BC; sister-in-law, Sally Harrison of Vernon, BC; as well as his nieces and nephews.

Brian received his Bachelor of Education and taught in Gladmar, Eyebrow and Moose Jaw, SK. He enjoyed teaching and working with young people for 30 years, retiring in 2000. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed memorable camping, fishing and ski trips with family and friends. Over the years, Brian, as a man of faith, generously devoted time to the St Joseph Parish Social Justice Committee, Moose Jaw & District Food Bank, Providence Place Foundation, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. In his retirement, he worked federal elections as ARO and RO. Brian believed that if everyone did their small part for a community, great things could become of this, as we are all part of one community.

He was an avid Moose Jaw Warriors fan and took many a “ribbing” when wearing his Toronto Maple Leafs jersey! His best “cheering” was supporting his daughters at their sporting activities.

Brian’s family would like to thank all family and friends for their support, kindness and prayers during this difficult time. Thanks to the Regina General Hospital, Wascana Rehab, Pasqua Hospital, and the Allan Blair Cancer Centre staff that cared for Brian during his stay. Special thanks to Doctor Rao.

A Private Family Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s name may be made to St. Joseph’s Parish Social Justice, 1064 3rd Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 3T9 or Providence Place Foundation Inc, 100 – 2nd Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1B8.
