Harry Alexander Harkes
Harry passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He was born in Listowel, Ontario on January 22, 1936 to Alexander and Ellen Harkes. Harry and Darlene were married and raised their three boys and two girls here in Moose Jaw. He worked for the Moose Jaw Board of Education until his retirement. Harry loved spending time with all his old friends, going out for coffee here in town. He is predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Darlene Harkes in 1979, his daughter Lorrie Harkes in 2013, and his son Kevin Harkes in 2018. He is survived by his children Kim Harkes, Carol Lehne and Harvey Harkes; his grandchildren Darcy Harkes, Dawn Harkes, Dustin Lehne, Dylan Lehne, KJ Harkes, Tyler Harkes, Austin Harkes; and his great grandchildren Neci Harkes, Damien Harkes, Raine Harkes, Evelyn Harkes, Aria Harkes, Tristan Harkes, and Trinity Harkes. A Private Graveside Service will take place at Sunset Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to Riverside Mission (40 Manitoba Street East, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0A2).
