HADWEN
The family of Chantal Deon Hadwen is deeply saddened to announce her sudden passing during surgery on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020. She had fought a long and brave battle with diabetes and Guillain Barre Syndrome. She had just celebrated her 49th birthday and was extremely grateful for the extended quality of life she received after a kidney transplant just over one year ago.
Chantal was born on November 19th, 1971 in Regina, SK. She was adopted by Larry and Rosa Hadwen in 1972 and raised in Moose Jaw, SK. She attended Palliser Heights School and graduated from Central Collegiate Institute. She then attended Sask Polytechnic in Moose Jaw, receiving her Red Seal Cooking Diploma. She worked at a variety of jobs in Moose Jaw and Cold Lake, AB, ending with security at CFB Moose Jaw when her health declined.
She was predeceased by her husband and friend, Robbie Robson; and her grandmother, Venus Harrigan. The loss of Chantal will be mourned by her husband, Colin Cameron; loving parents, Larry and Rosa Hadwen of Moose Jaw; sister, Paula (Dean) Shareski of Moose Jaw and their children: Meredith (Matt) Mitchell of Moose Jaw, Sam (Alanna) Shareski of Toronto, ON, Shea (Curtis) Hynes and their children Harriet and Herschel, of Moose Jaw, and Martha Shareski of Toronto; brother, Tim Hadwen and his children: Marlee, Kail, and Anthony of Regina, SK; as well as many cousins and friends, and her faithful companions Fozzy and Fred.
Chantal was a caring wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was known for her soft heart. She loved to be creative and to work with her hands, drawing, knitting, photography, and crafting. She made many homemade cards and knitted many winter caps over the years to give away to friends, family and those in need. She loved family gatherings and being with her loved ones. She also loved being a part of the Hillcrest Apostolic Church family. Chantal is with Jesus now and free from pain, suffering and physical restrictions!

In keeping with both COVID-19 restrictions and Chantal’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. A small graveside service will be attended by immediate family at a later date.
Chantal and her family would like to thank the medical team at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital, as well as the dialysis team there, the plasmaphereses team and Renal Unit at Regina General Hospital, the transplant team at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK and Dr. Volker Rininsland for all of their compassionate care over the years. Chantal so appreciated the relationships built with her caregivers.
