Gabrielle Granger passed away peacefully at Crescent Park Villa on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Gabrielle was born in Willow Bunch to Irenee and Corinne Bonneau-Granger. She received her education at Sacred Heart Convent in Willow Bunch and at the Convent in Gravelbourg. She went on to graduate as a Registered Nurse from St. Paul Hospital School of Nursing in Vancouver, B.C in 1950. The next 15 years were spent working as a RN (Matron) of the Willow Bunch Union Hospital. She then returned to study at the University of Saskatchewan (Regina Campus) where she graduated in 1966 with a degree in Psychology. She was employed by the Government of Saskatchewan, Social Services in various capacities including travels across the province to help improve services in Senior Homes and Home Care until she retired in 1987 and moved back to her hometown, Willow Bunch. She was not only a Caregiver but also an Academic with varying interest. She researched and studied different versions of the Bible as well as Buddhism. Gabreille also studied the Dewey Decimal System and learned Computer programing. In her spare time, she could be found in her yard caring for and planting a variety of shrubs and fruit trees or on the golf course. In her later years, she moved to Moose Jaw to be closer to family and eventually became a resident at Crescent Park Villa where she received amazing care right to the moment of her passing.
Gabrielle will be greatly missed by surviving siblings, Rolland Granger; Guy Granger; Bernadette Granger-Prouty; as well as many nieces and nephews. RIP Gabrielle Andree Granger.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Gabrielle was a giving person throughout her life and supported many charities, some on a monthly basis, others annually and in response to world emergencies. In her honour, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
