Lester Fluto, beloved husband of the late Yvonne Pearl Fluto (nee McGillis), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

Les was born in Assiniboia, SK and moved to Scout Lake and started on the railroad at the age of seventeen and worked his way to chief dispatcher in the CPR. He moved to Moose Jaw in the early 60s continuing his career at the railroad. He married Yvonne in 1981, later moving to Winnipeg, and retiring to Calgary in 1998.

Les loved the outdoors and fishing and traveling. 

Les is survived by his son Scott (Shanty) Fluto, his stepdaughter Louise (John) Rumford, his grandchildren, Karen, Dwayne (Nicole), Jason, Eric, Tiffany, and Teagan, his great-grandchildren, Travis, Katie, and Carly; and his great-great-grandson Ryker. Les is also survived by brother Ken (Nancy) and his sister Shirley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Les was predeceased by his loving wife Yvonne.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed at www.MHFH.com.
