PROCESO LIGON ESGUERRA

JULY 2nd, 1948 – JUNE 4th, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Proceso “Pamboy” Esguerra, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Proceso passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK, at the age of 76 years, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Proceso was born on July 2nd, 1948, in Pulilan, Bulacan, Philippines. He became a farmer at young age. Proceso was also an amazing carpenter who could fix anything.

On April 7th, 1974, Proceso married Cresencia Dacunos and was blessed with five children. He was predeceased by his wife, Cresencia Esguerra; parents, Isidro and Pastora Esguerra; parents-in-law, Leonardo and Tasiana Dacunos; brothers, Virgilio and Danilo; and sister, Rosario Flores. Proceso is survived by his five children: Grace (Abner) Mangaoil, Mhyla (Pharlie) Tolentino, Lance, Aileen (Jim) Haughian, and Patrick; grandchildren: Mc Farlin, Feona Mayne, Mat Farly, Alexander, and Gabriela; and younger sisters, Milagros and Rosita.

Proceso was passionate about entertaining people by playing keyboard while singing, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He was a kind, compassionate, and generous person who touched the lives of many. Proceso was very active in the church services, especially in choir of Iglesia Independiente in the small town of Cordon, Isabela, Philippines.

Proceso became a permanent resident in Canada on February 13th, 2021. Since then, he loved to travel.

Proceso was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer last March and did not want any treatment as he said he is ready to go and be with our mother in Heaven. He is now happy and had a good life.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the care providers, especially the Palliative Nurses Sabina, Pat, Nikki, and Miriam, for always being there whenever we needed them, 24/7. As well to his doctors Dr. Eric Bortolotti, Dr. Hyatt Shaw, and Dr. Adebisi Alayo. We are forever grateful to Marivic and Butch Genilazo, his personal care aide for free, and to all of our friends and relatives for their thoughtfulness.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Father Bert Lillo officiating. Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550 www.moosejawfuneralhome.com
