England, Pam - Obit Photo
Pamela Ann England "put down her cross and picked up her crown" on March 18th, 2021 in Moose Jaw, SK. She is survived by her beloved husband Everett; children Amy (Kirk), Jennifer (Colin) and Timothy; grandchildren Nicolas, Tucker and Lauryn; sisters Patty (Joe) and Carolyn (Brian); son-In-law Jeff (Beckie); brothers and sisters-in-law Barrie (Jean), Glennys, Holly (Gary), Calvin (Darlene), Holly (Ron) and many nieces and nephews. Pam was born in Duluth, Minnesota, February 17th, 1951, along with her twin sister Patty, to Rexford and Jeanne Hudson. Sister Carolyn joined the family 14 years later. Pam and Patty had a wonderful childhood growing up on the shores of Lake Superior with their "3rd twin", best friend Mary. Pam was married in 1970 and moved to Winnipeg, MB. She was soon blessed with a daughter Amy, who happened to be born on the same day as her twin sister's first daughter, Sunny. Jennifer was born the following year. Soon it was just her and her girls and she worked tirelessly to earn a nursing degree to give them a better life. Life led her to Tugaske, SK where she met the love of her life, Everett. They were married in 1979 and he had to introduce his city bride to life on the farm. She took to it immediately and was soon milking her pet cow to make her own butter and ice cream. They moved to Central Butte a few years later where their chosen son Timothy joined the family. She made many lifelong friends from coworkers, neighbours, and the community. She was a grateful member of Al Anon. Know that if Mom ever considered you a friend, she has told us an endearing story about you or expressed why you were special to her. They moved to Moose Jaw in 1990 and she settled into new jobs and new friendships. She felt blessed to welcome grandchildren Jayden, Nicolas, Tucker, Kierstyn and Lauryn. She sewed them blankets and clothes, read to them and baked them their favourite treats. She took joy in all of their milestones and accomplishments. Pamela was an amazing cook and she turned it into a career. From Meals On Wheels, Regency Manor, or the Rehab Center, she loved to take care of people with food. Her motto was "If you have a problem, throw a cookie at it." She loved to put on gourmet meals for family and friends or whoever Everett would bring home at the spur of the moment. Pam was an avid reader and was talented at needle point, calligraphy, sewing and quilting. She made beautiful works of art. Unfortunately, Pamela suffered with chronic pain for much of her adult life. She handled this with dignity, grace and humour and always kept a positive attitude. She was able to manage trips to Duluth to see her family and friends and had a special trip to Nashville with Barrie and Jean that will always remain a special memory for Everett. As her pain increased, her world became smaller, and she took pleasure in simple things, long conversations on the phone, visits with friends and hearing about her grandchildren’s activities. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of the family, friends, nurses and Doctors that have cared for her through the years. A special thank you to Dr Thorpe, Pat, and Suzanne. Pamela was predeceased by her parents Rexford and Jeanne Hudson; father and mother-in-law Percy and Lydia England; brothers-in-law Lyle and Edgar England; and grandchildren Jayden and Kierstyn Ofstie.
