We are sad to announce the passing of Dayle Catherine Dirk “Nana Dayle” on December 5th, 2022, at the age of 70. Dayle worked at Valley View as a psychiatric nurse for 30 years. She loved her cats and dogs very much. She loved spending time with her friend Sharron going for coffee at Smitty’s and shopping with her. Dayle had numerous hobbies she loved, such as walking, biking, reading, listening to music, and painting with her water colours. She also had a love for nature and planted many trees and flowers in her backyard. Christmas was a very special time of year for Nana Dayle because we always played Romoli, she loved to laugh and share her winnings with her pride and joy Kelly.

Dayle always stopped to say “Hi Sweetie” to who ever crossed her path, and would always want to chat for a minute then carry on.

Dayle leaves behind her lifelong partner Max Taylor son Vaughn (Shannan) Taylor, grandchild Kelly (Morgan) Taylor and great grandkids Peyton and Grey Taylor. We would like say a special thank to the Staff at Pioneer Lodge for making Dayle’s last days comfortable and peaceful, also to Dr and Mrs. Hugo for the compassion and care over the years for her.

As Dayle’s wishes there will be no funeral service held, memorial donations may be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society at 1755 Stadacona Street West, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 7K7.

Nana had such a caring and giving heart to everyone she knew.
We will miss you, Nana.

I like to think that when I fall,
A rain-drop in Death’s shoreless sea,
This shelf of books along the wall,
Beside my bed, will mourn for me.
