Betty Ann Dietrich aged 71 years of Central Butte, SK, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, with her family by her side.   

Betty grew up in the Saskatoon, SK area with her parents and siblings. She was the youngest of six children, having four brothers and one sister. In 1971, Betty moved with her parents to Central Butte where they ran the café. While working at the café she met Charles and they soon married and had three daughters.  

Betty will be most remembered by her easy laugh, warm smile and was always ready with a hug. Betty loved vegetable gardening and planting flowers. She enjoyed playing cards, working on crafts, and was an exceptional baker and cook. She loved having her house full of family and friends, especially at Christmas. She had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. Betty loved spending time with family, she especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; mother, Blanche; father, Bill; and brothers: Bill, Vernon and Allan. Betty leaves behind her three children: Amber (Dave), Patricia (Gary) and grandsons Luke, Dalton, and Brody, Leah (Trevor) and grandsons Garrett and Tanner; as well as many other family and friends.

Betty’s family would also like to extend their deep gratitude to the staff at the Central Butte Regency Manor for the wonderful care and support that she received there during the past five years.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Betty’s name may be made to the Huntington Society of Canada, 20 Erb St W, Suite 801, Waterloo, ON N2L 1T2.
