I was given the gift of life and now I must give it back.  In life I was a lucky man.  I grew up as the youngest child of 5 on a farm in Mitchelton.  I was raised to know a hard day’s work and loved to drive any vehicle that I could reach the pedals.  Although I graduated as a heavy-duty mechanic my dream was always to farm – grain & livestock.  I later met and married my beautiful and loving wife Flora and together we raised our 5 children: Phyllis, Dalton, Tim, Charlene and Diane and for most of this time we lived on our farm in Expanse.  My children gave me my precious 10 grandkids that I had so much fun with and they kept me young.  My family kept expanding with a total of 19 great grandkids and counting.  My greatest blessing was all of you.  I’m also grateful to have had my community of Mossbank & area and for many wonderful friends. I enjoyed all the games of cards, the stories, the laughs and sharing a few sweet, sugary treats; my absolute favorite and my demise. My passion was for farming, animals and for all things mechanical.  As a proud owner of Mossbank Sales and Service, I appreciated your business, as when it came to fixing things, it gave me great satisfaction.  I really enjoyed trying my hand as a jack-of-all-trades.  I took leave of this world on April 5th, at the age of 83, with the love of my family at my side.
