It is with heavy hearts, we announce that passing of Edith Kathleen Crosbie on January 19, 2022, at the age of 85. 

She was predeceased by her husband J. Douglas Crosbie, son Mark Elliott, grandson Michael Elliott, parents Arthur and Elsie Windsor, and sister Dorothy May.

She will be sadly missed and remembered by her daughter Charlene (Rod) Stapleton, and their children Jeff (Brandy) and Michelle (Reece), her daughter Lynda (Rick) Stykel, and their children Nicole and Lee (Zelfa), daughter in-law Rhonda Lee, granddaughter Amy (Mike) Wainman and great granddaughter Lexi, her sisters Isabel Wenarchuk, Muriel (Lawrence) Drysdale, Norma Folk and Iris (Lorne) Craig, her step-children Connie Holtan, Ron Crosbie and their families, along with many nieces and nephews. 

Edith grew up on a farm north of Marquis with her five sisters. She attended the country school of Barton, which was near the family farm. At the age of 16, she moved to Moose Jaw to attend business school, followed by working many years in retail and bookkeeping. Edith enjoyed the many wonderful vacations with her husband Doug, both near and far. Edith loved going for coffee with her sisters, playing bridge with friends, being a member of Beta Sigma Phi and cherished all of her lifelong friendships. She was always a dedicated attendee at her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. 

Mom, Grandma was a loving person and will be missed by all. 

The family would like the thank the staff at Providence Place and Dr. Vermaak for her wonderful care.  A celebration of Edith’s life will be held on Tuesday January 25, 2022 at 1:30 PM at W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St W., Moose Jaw, SK. Della Ferguson will officiate. Memorial donations in Edith’s name can be made in lieu of flowers to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation – 55 Diefenbaker Drive, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 0C2 or a charity of your choice. In living memory of Edith, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd.
