Fernande Marie (Delorme) Cote passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 19, 2024, at the age of 91 years old. Fern was born January 2, 1933, the third child and eldest daughter to Leo and Lucia Delorme. She was a sister to 11 brothers and sisters.

Fern attended school in St. Victor and attended the Lafleche Convent in 1944 and 1945. She then returned to St. Victor to help her parents on the farm.  On July 30, 1952, she married Robert J Cote. They became parents to six children. Their lives took them from Assiniboia to Bengough then to Swift Current. In Swift Current Fern was an avid seamstress. She sewed from her home for many clients and worked as a seamstress for many years at Yolanda’s Dress Shop, Harry Shaw’s Menswear and Lawrence’s Menswear as well as being an integral part of the family Dairy Farm. In 1988, Bob and Fern’s semi-retirement took them to Creston B.C. Their own little piece of the mountains became a hobby farm of fruits, vegetables, and many crafts that they loved to create together. They then returned to Moose Jaw in 2001 and built their dream home together and finally retired. They lived their lives to the fullest, spending time with family. Fern and Bob loved to dance with many friends they made in Moose Jaw, and spending time at the family cabin in Northern Saskatchewan on Kemp Lake. After Bob’s passing Fern continued to dance in her circle of friends and made many more friends along the way.
