Betty Louise Charters, aged 96 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021. Betty was born and raised in a quaint little village on the shore of Georgian Bay. She lived in Clarksburg, ON until being transferred to Bushell Park, SK in 1964 with her husband Jim, who was a member of the RCAF. Betty was employed at the Moose Jaw Clinic for many years. Upon her retirement, she took up employment with Peoples Jewellers and Reesors Jewellers. Betty was a very avid football and Saskatchewan Roughrider fan. She loved all music, especially the song “Cover of the Rolling Stone”.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Elsie Fawcett; husband, Jim; daughter, Judith Lynn; and sisters, Helen and Shirley. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her son, Peter (Jill); grandsons, Michael and Mason (Jennifer); and great-grandchildren, Madison and Mitchell.  

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate and interment will take place in Moose Jaw Funeral Home Indoor Columbarium. Those not able to attend are invited to watch the service virtually by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Betty’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7.
