It is is with sadness the family announces the passing of Beryl Casemore on May 1, 2022 at the age of 86. Beryl was born the year of August 25, 1935 in Limerick, SK., the second of seven children. She cared for her younger siblings and babysat for other families in the community. She also worked at the Red and White Store. Beryl moved to Assiniboia for full time work at the Co-op Store. It was in Assiniboia she met and married Elden and they had their first son.

On August 4, 1958, the Casemore’s moved to Moose Jaw. Ten short days later Beryl began work at the Moose Jaw Co-op grocery department on High St. Over time, two more sons were added to the family.

Beryl is a very dedicated person. She had dedicated herself to her family, her community through her church and other organizations along with her work. Her 42 years at Moose Jaw Co-op made her a well-recognized and well-known person. Many will remember Beryl as their cashier who spoke kindly to everyone and was always glad to chat and make people feel welcome. Once you’ve met Beryl she’s hard to forget. She’s one of a kind! Her vices were her love of bingo, dancing and playing the lotto.

Beryl lost her dear Elden in 2013. She is a proud mother of her three sons and has 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Beryl’s life will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Zion United Church, 423 Main St, Moose Jaw. Pastor Doug Shepherd will officiate.

In living memory of Beryl, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries). Dayna Chamberlain- Funeral Director
