It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley W. Boyko, our beloved dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. Stan passed away on Sunday, April 7th, 2024, at the age of 87 years. He was born on August 8th, 1936, in Caron, SK and was predeceased by his loving wife, Marlene; parents, John and Annie; and sister, Victoria. Stan leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories cherished by his son, Darren and wife Colette, their children Kendel and Kayde Cassidy, Calyn and Adi Konieczny (Aviel), Emerson and Holly Boyko (Remington), Tyra Boyko, DeVon Elliott and Shelby Young (William, Maddison), Madison and Tyson Simpson, and Damyn Elliott; and daughter, Shauna and husband Bill Campbell, their children Chelsea Robinson (Cole, Sawyer), Britney and Jeff Wellborn (Layne, Tanner, Reegan), and Brenna Duckworth (Blake, Jazmine).

Stan was a devoted member of the Caron community, where he spent his entire life. He attended Caron Elementary and Central Collegiate in Moose Jaw, SK. Stan began his career as a station agent, telegrapher and train dispatcher with the CPR in numerous southern Saskatchewan communities for six years. He then dedicated over three decades with Trans Canada Pipeline as an electrical technician, retiring in 1993. Stan was deeply involved in community service, serving as a Mason, Shriner and Jester, and many years volunteering at Providence Place alongside his wife. He cherished his friendships, especially with his Shrine Club and coffee buddies, and had a special bond with his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Maurice and Erma Lees. Stan and Marlene travelled extensively around the world exploring six of our seven continents. Stan's greatest joy was his family, whom he showered with love and took on many memorable adventures. In his final months, Stan found companionship and happiness with his dear friend, Marilyn.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at both Dr. F. W. Wigmore Regional Hospital and Pioneer’s Lodge in Moose Jaw, as well as the Weyburn General Hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Susan Bell from Caronport, SK who was not only Stan’s doctor, but friend.
