Milton Dean Stewart Bossence, ‘Dean’ passed away peacefully June 14, 2022 at the age of 59 years surrounded by his loving wife and children. Dean was predeceased by his grandparents, Bill and Rosalie Bossence, Cliff and Alice Campbell and mother and father in-law, Bill and Evelyn Brears. Dean will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Donna; children: Cody (Leticia), Brett-Lyn (Andy), Cole (Taylor); grandchildren: Lily, Jake, Clara, Makenna, Theo, Wren; parents: George and Gail Bossence; sisters: Michelle (Pat) Bouchard; Jennifer (Greg) Worrall; brother: Jody Bossence; sister-in-laws: Linda (Bill) McCulloch, Laurie (Jim)  Bolesworth; brother-in-laws: Bill (Denise) Brears, David (Elaine) Brears and countless nieces and nephews.

Dean was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on July 23, 1962. He grew up in Mortlach, Saskatchewan and had many childhood friends and many remain his friends today. Through high school, Donna (Brears) caught his eye and in 1984 they were married and settled on his Grandpa Cliff and Grandma Alice’s family farm north of Parkbeg, Saskatchewan. There they raised their children; Cody, Brett-Lyn and Cole. Dean’s greatest joy was raising his family and living the farm life. This was Dean’s true passion. He was a true cowboy, he loved the cows, ranching and everything that went along with it - the good and the bad. He was always there to lend a helping hand out to neighbours, always with a smile. When he was able to have some down time, he loved spending time at Palliser Regional Park on the lake and being with family and friends. Dean also worked off the farm periodically throughout the years for Corrpro Services and made many wonderful friends.

Throughout his younger years Dean enjoyed many sports including many street hockey games, riding motorcycles and countless trips to the community rink for hockey.  Dean continued to play hockey  throughout his adult life, coaching hockey, attending many sporting events to watch his children and grandchildren as well as serving on the Mortlach Community Rec Board for 30 plus years.  Dean enjoyed watching many sports and he was a die-hard Oilers fan who gave him great joy watching them make it to the 2022 quarter finals.

Dean and Donna instilled in their children the love of family and he loved them unconditionally. These past years Dean fought incredibly hard, never complaining and continued up until his last days with a positive attitude. He was a hero to many and will be missed dearly, especially by his special dog, Diesel.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 23rd, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Besant Park (west of Moose Jaw).  Please note that seating will be picnic tables and you are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration of life will be moved to the Mortlach Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Society or the Mortlach Community Recreation Board.

In living memory of Dean, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.jonesparkview.com (Obituaries)
