It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Wes Banilevic on Saturday February 26, 2022, at the age of 91 years. Wes will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife and best friend of 68 years Joyce; children Shelley (Tim), and Kim; Grandchildren Destiny (Steve), Farrah (Colin), Nathan (Verna), Nicholas (Kayla), Benjamin (Paige), Payton and Paige; Great-Grandchildren Dakota, Savannah, Parker, Kruz, Ciara, Charlotte, and Anderson; his sister Ruby Huber; sisters-in-law Marion and Gladys Banilevic; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Wes was predeceased by his son Murray Banilevic; parents Constantine (Gus) and Flora Banilevic; brothers Steve and Andy Banilevic; sisters Ann Bell, Doreen Cazes and brothers-in-law Bob Bell, Clair Cazes and Alfred Huber.
Wes will be remembered as a hard-working devoted family man, and his kindness towards family and friends.
Wes and Joyce enjoyed many winters in Palm Springs with family members, and other warm destinations. Wes was an avid fisherman taking many fishing trips with his brother Andy and friends to many destinations including northern Saskatchewan and BC. He later passed his fishing gear to his great-granddaughter Savannah who is also an enthusiastic fisherman.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Wes's devoted sister Ruby Huber, for her care, love and kindness throughout Wes’s failing health.
There will be a visitation Sunday March 6, 2022, 7:00pm – 8:00pm. A Celebration of life for Wes will be held on Monday March 7, 2022, at 11:00am at W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Services, 474 Hochelaga St W. Moose Jaw SK. Lunch and interment to follow. Memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer Society Of Saskatchewan, 2550 12 Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1
