Patrick George Bachiu of Moose Jaw passed away April 17th, 2022, at the age of 60. He was born in Moose Jaw to Helen and Dan Bachiu.
Patrick started his career as a mechanic when he was in high school, repairing tires. After high school, Patrick attended STI and obtained his journeyman’s certificate. His lifelong career started at Buffalo Shell, from there he went to Midas Muffler, Main Street Shell, Firestone, South Hill Esso, Canadian Tire, Moose Jaw Ford, then finally retiring from CP Rail.
Patrick’s favourite pastime was playing golf, he looked forward to trips South with his golfing buddies. In his youth, Patrick enjoyed playing softball, pool, bowling, darts and was also a bike enthusiast, he took several trips to Sturgis for yearly bike rallies. Patrick’s biking trips took him from Moose Jaw to Victoria BC, and 1982 he went east through the USA, back up to Ontario, and home again to Moose Jaw.
Pat will be greatly missed by his sister, Connie Challenger and her son David; brother Graham Bachiu (Cindy) and their sons Ethan and Brauck Waldo (Kim); and great nephew River.
