Maxine Avery

December 13, 1945, to January 5, 2024

Maxine grew up in Moose Jaw and was a true prairie girl who loved exploring the back roads of Saskatchewan her whole life. She especially loved hunting for the first crocus of spring.

Maxine enjoyed all her pets, gardening, and working on her little turquoise house. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren. She relished discussing current events and she said her one regret was not being able to witness Trump being put in jail.

Maxine was predeceased by her parents Peter and Nellie Preiner, and her brother Ed Preiner.

Maxine was very grateful for the excellent care she received from Dr. Lee, Nurse Jessica, Lydia and all the staff at the Alan Blair Cancer Centre, as well as Nurse Pat and staff at Palliative Care and at F. H. Wigmore Hospital in Moose Jaw.

Maxine believed in knowing her neighbours, and she wanted to express her gratitude to all her wonderful neighbours on the east side of Moose Jaw.

Finally, Maxine wanted to share her heartfelt appreciation for the many years of friendship with her classmates at Convent of Sion.

There will be a celebration of life at the Eagles Club on Saturday 13th of January.  Please contact the family to RSVP.

In living memory of Maxine, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries). Cerys Doan- Funeral Director Intern
