AQUINO
We are saddened to share the peaceful passing of Antonieta Mendoza Aquino on Thursday, May 15th, 2025. Born on June 13th, 1947, in Tiaong, Quezon Philippines, Antonieta was known by most as Nonette, and by some, as Ama. At the age of 24, she moved to Canada where she lived a life filled with lots of giving and love. She was predeceased by her parents, Presentacion Mendoza and Antonio F. Aquino Sr; brother, Carlos; and sister, Normita Aquino-Umali; while leaving behind her sisters: Carolina Aquino-Calizar, Teresita Aquino, and Merlo Aquino-Maralit; brother, Antonio Aquino; along with her nieces and nephews. Nonette dedicated most of her life providing love and utmost care to her relatives, especially the Magnaye and Masangkay families. Along with the Aquino family, the Dimayuga clan and her numerous friends, who loved and cared for her equally, her love, laughter and generosity will be greatly missed.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Parish, 1064 3rd Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK, with Father Bert Lillo as the presiding celebrant. A Prayer Service and Viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
