NEW YORK — Minnesota Wild left wing Kevin Fiala, Nashville Predators defenceman Ryan Ellis and Colorado Avalanche goaltender Pavel Francouz have been named the NHL's three stars of the week.

Fiala had four multi-point games to lead the NHL with nine points (four goals, five assists) as the Wild posted a 3-1-0 record and moved within one point of a playoff spot.

Ellis had multiple points in three contests to lead defencemen with seven points (one goal, six assists), factoring on seven of nine Nashville goals to guide the Predators to a 2-1-0 record and help them move into the second Western Conference wild-card spot. It's first time since Nov. 13 that the team has been in a playoff position.

Francouz went 3-0-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average and .946 save percentage as the Avalanche maintained their rank of second place in the Central Division.
