KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Canada's Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is back on the Kansas City Chiefs' active roster ahead of the AFC championship.

The 27-year-old offensive lineman from Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Que., was activated from injured reserve on Tuesday.

Duvernay-Tardif, in his fifth year with the Chiefs, broke his right leg in the fifth week of the season. At the time, the McGill graduate was starting at right guard.

Safety Ron Parker was dropped from the roster to make room for Duvernay-Tardif.

The Chiefs play host to the New England Patriots in the AFC championship on Sunday, with the winner going to the Super Bowl.
