The Regina Riot are one step closer to the WWCFL Championship after a 22-8 victory over the Manitoba Fearless over the weekend. The Riot will now head to Saskatoon next weekend for a highly anticipated conference showdown against their provincial rivals, the Valkyries.
The all-Saskatchewan clash is set for 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 21 at SMF Field in Saskatoon. This marks another chapter in one of the most intense rivalries in women’s football, as the Riot look to dethrone the defending champions and punch their ticket to the league final.
“We’re thrilled to be on the field for another week of hard work,” said Riot Head Coach Claire Doré. “Every practice and every snap is a chance to elevate our game. We’re focused on working with our athletes to continue growing in all aspects — physically, mentally, and strategically.”
The winner of this Prairie Conference final will move on to face the victor of the Western Conference final between the Calgary Rage and Edmonton Arctic Pride in the 2025 WWCFL Championship Game.
