Warriors rally late but fall short in Prince Albert

Tracey scores twice in final two minutes to make things interesting in 4-3 defeat

What was true the first three times the Moose Jaw Warriors and Prince Albert Raiders met this Western Hockey League season just happened be true in the fourth meeting as well:

Things are remarkably close between the two teams.

The Raiders opened a 4-0 lead through two periods only to see the Warriors roar back in the third amd close within a single goal before falling short.
Moose Jaw fell to 31-16-6-2 and are eight points back Saskatoon, nine ahead of Brandon for third in the East Division.

Heading into the final period, former Warrior Noah Gregor had scored twice and added two assists to go along with single markers from Sean Montgomery and Ozzie Wiesblatt, as they led 3-0 after the first and 4-0 through two.

Tristin Langan got the Tribe on the board at the 8:31 mark of the third. Brayden Tracey then followed with a pair of power play markers in the game's final two minutes, the first with 1:29 remaining and second with six seconds to play.

The Warriors finished the game 2-for-5 on the power play while Prince Albert was 1-for-6.

Adam Evanoff got the start and made 17 saves before Brodan Salmond took over and turned aside 21. Boston Bilous went the distance with 23 saves for the Raiders.

The Warriors are back in action Friday when they travel to Swift Curent. Next home action is Saturday when they host the Regina Pats with a special game time of 2:30 p.m. at Mosaic Place.
