Tough night for Bantam Warriors

Local squad still looking for first win after loss to Weyburn

A tough season for the Moose Jaw Warriors in the South Sask. AA Hockey League Bantam division didn't get any easier on Sunday night as they fell 13-2 to the Weyburn Wings.

Brennan Watterson finished the game with a goal and an assist for the Warriors, who trailed 2-0 after the first and found themselves down 7-2 through two. Braxton Hooper scored their other goal, while Chase Jocelyn had two assists.

Brady Bourdeau made 29 saves in the loss, the Warriors fired 13 shots at Weyburn.

The Warriors fell to 0-24-0-1 with the loss and will look for their first win when they take the ice Sunday in Regina against the Aces. Next home action is Feb. 19 against Swift Current (7:30 p.m., Bert Hunt).
